Follow Breza to the Sterlingfest Art and Music Festival in Sterling Heights MI, Saturday July 30th 2022 from 10-4pm. Come see Breza the puppet at the library’s book sale and signing event. While your there, get a signed copy of my children’s book Follow Breza to preschool. This event will also be professionally filmed for my upcoming YouTube channel.

This is an event for readers of all ages to purchase signed copies of books written by over 70 creative authors from Michigan. The authors will be located outside the library, just steps from the Sterlingfest Arts and Craft Fair. Stop by and visit with the authors, look at their books, and find out why they wrote their stories. Don’t forget to visit me, Breza and her puppet friends.

As a student, I realized how important literacy is for young children. I wrote my thesis on teaching young children literacy. Children need to understand literacy so they are able to learn math, science, social studies and more. Becoming aware of patterns in letters and sounds is the beginning of learning how to read. I read to my children as infants. Not only was it comforting for them, it let them hear rhymes and rhythms of language.   Saying nursery rhymes, reading books and singing to your baby are one of the best things you can do with your infant.  Promoting a love of reading starts at home.
