Follow Breza to the Michigan State Fair as she comes alive on-stage, Sunday September 4th from 4-5pm. I’m excited to be able to give away copies of my children’s book Follow Breza to Preschool to 10 children attending my event. Meet my illustrator as we will be singing songs together with the children. Breza and her friends will also be with me on stage in the form of a puppet as I read my book to the children.
Sunday will be Literacy Day at the fair, and 7-9 authors including myself will be there. After my ten book giveaway, I will have signed copies of my children’s book Follow Breza to Preschool along with home-made Breza puppets and shirts for sale. This event will also be recorded and I will be posting the video on my upcoming YouTube channel. Michigan authors of books for all ages will be participating on Literacy Day. Literacy is the most important skill a parent can teach their child. First, we need to learn how to read before we can learn math, science, social studies and more. Studies show that reading to young children as infants is the beginning of their literacy instruction. As we read, the little ones are hearing rhymes, rhythm, predictable text, and new words. Promoting a love of reading starts at home!

We are very busy with our responsibilities, jobs, house, providing for our children, but the best gift you can give your children does not come in a box, it is your time and knowledge. Remember to read to your children every day. Sit in a cozy chair and put them on your lap and read every day.
