Follow Breza to the Michigan State Fair as she comes alive on-stage, Sunday September 3rd from 12-1pm. The first 9 children attending my event will get a free copy of my children’s book Follow Breza to Preschool. Breza and her friends in the form of a puppet will also be there. We will be singing songs together and then I will read my book to the children.
Sunday will be Literacy Day at the fair, and 7-9 authors including myself will be there. After my nine book giveaway, I will have signed copies of my children’s book Follow Breza to Preschool along with home-made Breza puppets and shirts for sale. Michigan authors of books for all ages will be participating on Literacy Day. Come join me on the demo stage to learn about my book!
Literacy is the most important skill a parent can teach their child. First, we need to learn how to read before we can learn math, science, social studies and more. Studies show that reading to young children as infants is the beginning of their literacy instruction. As we read, the little ones are hearing rhymes, rhythm, predictable text, and new words. Promoting a love of reading starts at home!
